*PANNING THE EAVE END OF A PANEL*

After Cutting the panel ribs back the depth of the hook place a panning tool wider than the width of the panel over the flange of the panel...	then push the panning tool up against the panel ribs as shown (this is why it is critical to accurately mark and cut the panel ribs).	Placing one hand on the flat of the panel to limit pillowing, rotate the panning tool down...	and under the desired amount	usually about 180 degrees. This will leave the hem open between 5 and 15 degrees depending on the material	If a tight hem is desired, finish with a pair of tongs or an eaves closing tool, such as the Freund 106 TSCA.
BOXING THE RIDGE END END OF A PANEL

Use a panning tool narrower than the width of the panel (use an 11.25" tool for a 12" panel, etc) Slide the tool to its stops and...	Center the tool between the panel ribs. Note: the tool has a standard depth of 1.5"; there are 2 screw holes placed at 1" if a 1" depth is needed.	Use the handle to rotate the panning tool toward the eave end of the panel.	Make sure the tool misses the ribs of the panel as you fold it over; you may need to spread the ribs slightly...	so that the tool misses the ribs. Continue to rotate the handle down until it is parallel to the flat of the panel.	Remove the handle. The panel is ready to place.
