BHV Spiral duct is the ideal duct system for all heating, ventilating, air conditioning, industrial exhaust, and make up air systems.
Round spiral duct can be manufactured in lighter gauges than comparably sized rectangular ductwork, and will have equal or greater strength.
Flat oval duct will fit easily in confined spaces. In addition, spiral duct installations are more efficient. Due to generally lower loss co-efficients of the round configuration versus square or rectangular duct and fittings of equal area. Also, the longer available lengths provide more efficiency due to the elimination of many of the field connections and resulting leakage found in conventional rectangular duct installations. BHV round and flat oval spiral duct is available in plain and double beaded profile. Double beaded profile is standard construction for our round underground PVS duct.
ROUND SPIRAL DUCT
MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION
BHV manufactures round spiral duct and fittings in diameters from 3" through 80" in standard construction materials of galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum and poly vinyl coated steel. Our standard duct length is 10 feet with optional lengths from 3' through 20'.
This duct is available in 16 gauge through 26 gauge wall thickness. By special order we can provide spiral duct in unusual materials such as prepainted steel, or perforated metals.
All of our spiral duct features 4-Ply Lockseam construction to maximize strength and eliminate air leakage.
BHV spiral duct & fittings are available in single and double wall construction. Double wall construction may have either a solid or perforated inner liner with fiberglass acoustical or thermal insulation.
We offer the complete line of Ductmate and Hardcast duct sealing products and adhesives for use with our spiral duct and fittings and all high pressure sealing applications associated with the HVAC industry.
Hardcast RTA adhesive and DT tape are recognized as the industry standard sealing systems for the weatherproof sealing of PVS underground and above ground duct systems.
STOCK AND DELIVERY
Our stocking program features single wall round galvanized steel spiral duct in 10 Ft. lengths, and in diameters from 3" to 20".
These are available in standard SMACNA gauges for use in HVAC applications of 2" to 10" w.g. positive pressure.
Round 45 and 90 degree "LV" elbows, concentric reducers, and beaded couplings are also stocked in diameters from 6" through 20".
Most orders ship in 3 to 5 workdays on BHV trucks or by common carrier. Stock orders can ship in one workday.
